Dr. R. Glen Cowan Education Dr. Cowan graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1982 from the University of Alabama before attending the University of Alabama School of Dentistry and earned his D.M.D. degree with honors in 1986. He earned a Master of Science degree in Orthodontics from the University of North Carolina in 1992 and opened his practice in Tuscaloosa after graduation. Dr. Cowan was also a part-time clinical instructor at the University of Alabama Orthodontic Department for over 10 years. Memberships Staying on the cutting edge of orthodontics is important to Dr. Cowan. He’s a member of many prestigious professional organizations. He and his wife Donna have two sons, Will and Matt.
